How to Make an APT AI Video From Two Photos

How to make an APT AI video: which two photos to pick, how the two performers are matched, and what you get.

APT is a duo routine in a bright pink studio: two people sing to the camera, dance in step and play a short drum bit, with fast cuts between them. The APT AI template puts the people in your two photos into that routine.

What to prepare

You need two photos, one for each performer.

  • Photo one plays the first performer.
  • Photo two plays the second performer.

The two performers can trade places in the frame during the clip. The roles follow the performers, not the left or right side, so don't worry about which side you picture yourself on.

Pick photos where each person is alone, facing the camera, with the whole face visible and even light. Skip sunglasses, masks and heavy filters. The photo tips guide covers this in more detail. Use photos of yourself or of friends who agreed to appear. Photos of public figures or anyone under 18 are not allowed.

The steps

  1. Open the APT page.
  2. Upload photo one, then photo two.
  3. Pick 480p, 720p or 1080p. See pricing for what each costs.
  4. We review the photos first. If one doesn't pass, nothing is charged and you can swap it.
  5. Pay once. There is no subscription.
  6. The clip shows up under My videos in a few minutes. You can close the page while it renders.

Things specific to this scene

  • Close-ups. The routine has shots close on the singers' faces. A sharp, front-facing photo matters more here than in a wide dance scene.
  • Two clear faces. Two photos with very different lighting can look mismatched next to each other. If you can, pick two photos taken in similar light.
  • Drums. Hands and sticks move fast and can blur for a frame or two. That is normal for AI video.
  • Lips. They move naturally but do not match any words.

What you get

A 15-second MP4 in 16:9 widescreen. It is marked as AI generated. If we can't make your video, you get a full refund.
