Privacy Policy

Who we are. Put Me In (putmein.app) turns your photos into short AI-generated videos using ready-made templates. This policy covers the website and the generation service, and Put Me In decides how the information described here is used.

Contact. contact@putmein.app. We reply within 2 business days.

Account: your email address and your password, which we store only as a hash (we cannot read it), plus sign-in records (when you signed in, and the device and approximate location of the sign-in). If you sign in with Google, we get your email address, name and profile picture from Google. We use them to run your account and My videos and to answer support requests. We do not send marketing email.

Content: the photos you upload and the videos generated from them.

Usage and device information: pages visited, approximate location from your IP address and browser type. We also keep a hashed form of your IP address for a short time to limit abuse.

Payment information: payments are processed by Waffo Pancake, our merchant of record. We receive the purchase record, not your full card details.

We use your information to review your photos, generate and deliver the video you bought, show it to you under My videos, process payments and refunds, give support, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the service. We do not send marketing email. The only email we send is a password reset that you ask for.

Who receives your information. We share information only with the service providers named here, when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of users and the service. We do not sell your personal information.

Cloudflare. Hosting of the site and storage of your photos and videos. OpenAI. Automated moderation of your photos. Video generation service. A third-party service that reviews your photos and makes your video. Waffo Pancake. Takes your payment as merchant of record. Resend. Sends the emails we do send, such as a password reset you ask for. Google Analytics 4 and Umami. Aggregate usage statistics. Google. Only if you choose to sign in with Google. tawk.to. Runs the chat box on the site. It receives the page you are on, your device information and anything you write in the chat. If you are signed in, it also receives your name and email so we know who we are answering.

Across borders. These providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. By using the service you understand that your information can be transferred across borders to provide it.

Photos. Photos you upload but do not pay for are deleted within 24 hours. Photos of paid videos are deleted 30 days after the video is created. We keep review results, not photos, for 12 months to enforce our rules.

Videos. Finished videos are deleted from our storage 30 days after delivery, so download yours within 30 days. Until then they stay available in your account under My videos. The order record stays; the video does not.

Your account. Your account (your email address, the password hash and sign-in records) is kept until you ask us to delete it. Email contact@putmein.app to delete your account or any of your data sooner. We may keep limited records when the law, a dispute, fraud prevention or a payment requires it.

We use encryption in transit, access controls and private storage to protect your information. Your video link is a secret: anyone who has it can open the video, so share it with care. No system is perfectly secure.

We use a small number of cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We use Google Analytics 4 and Umami to understand how the site is used in aggregate. They receive page views and device information. They also receive the steps you take on the site (adding a photo, sending it for review, paying, getting your video, sharing it), but never your photos, your name or your email. Our sign-in cookie is used only to keep you signed in. The tawk.to chat box sets its own cookies so a chat carries on from page to page. Template pages show YouTube videos as cover pictures: the pictures come from YouTube, and a video loads from YouTube only after you click it.

You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete the information we hold about you, including your account. Email contact@putmein.app from the address on your account. Depending on where you live, local law may give you additional rights, including the right to complain to a data protection authority.

Put Me In is for adults only (18 and over). Do not use the service if you are under 18, and do not upload photos of anyone under 18. If you believe we hold a child's data, contact us and we will delete it.
